  • What am I committed to as a GTM by Northstar Hosted Travel Advisor?

    The Terms & Conditions of GTM by Northstar hosted program require all travel advisors to:

    Access appointment system and rank all participating suppliers during designated timeframe (this is spelled out and specific for each event)

    Attend all pre-scheduled supplier appointments

    Attend all Boardroom presentations

    Attend all meal functions in their entirety

  • What is included in the GTM by Northstar Hosted Travel Advisor Program?

    Complimentary airfare and 3 nights’ accommodation at La Quinta Resort & Club

    Pre-scheduled appointments and Boardroom presentations with participating suppliers

    Admission to GTM West and all official event networking events

    Transfers to/from Phoenix International Airport and La Quinta Resort & Club

    Official GTM West meal functions which include Welcome Reception, Day 1 Breakfast, Lunch and Cocktail Reception, Day 2 Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Closing Reception and an optional Post Event Training Breakfast

  • What is not included in the Hosted Travel Advisor Program?

    Travel insurance

    Food and beverage outside of official event functions

    Hotel upgrades

    Additional nights' accommodation

    Any hotel incidentals (i.e. spa, room service, etc)

    Personal extras

    Baggage fees

  • Is this a FAM Trip?

    No! As a hosted travel advisor, you will need to attend all pre-scheduled business appointments and Boardroom presentations with suppliers on all days of the event. We will create your customized schedule based on requests made between you and suppliers. You are required to attend all of your appointments to avoid cancellation fees. GTM West is not a FAM trip; it is an exclusive event for qualified hosted travel advisors to make business happen.

  • Is there a fee to attend GTM West?

    All GTM North America travel advisors will be required to pay a $375 administrative processing fee. Refer to event terms and conditions

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    All GTM West travel advisors will be required to pay a $375 non-refundable administrative processing fee.

    Cancellation / No-Show: all cancellations by you (or no-shows) will result in a $300 cancellation fee plus the cost of airfare and 3-night hotel guest room charges. At the approval of event management, a qualified substitute may attend the event as your replacement to avoid penalty.

  • What is a Boardroom Presentation and how do I add one to my schedule?

    Boardroom presentations are pre-assigned, 30-minute supplier presentations to a group of approximately 10 travel advisors. There are four scheduled presentations on August 4 and six scheduled presentations on August 5 and 6. All travel advisors will be pre-assigned to a group, and the suppliers will rotate between groups to conduct their presentations.

  • How are my pre-scheduled appointments made?

    All one-on-one appointments between travel advisors and suppliers are scheduled in advance. You will be given access to our appointment system several weeks before the event to rank participating suppliers. Travel advisor and supplier preferences will be automatically matched against advisor/supplier availability to create each personalized itinerary.

  • Will I receive appointments I did not request?

    Yes, the appointment system will match requests from both travel advisors and suppliers and create a schedule based on mutual availability.

  • Will I receive all of the appointments I requested?

    No, the appointment system will match requests from both travel advisors and suppliers and create a schedule based on mutual availability.

  • When can I view my final appointment schedule for GTM West?

    Final appointment schedules will be available for view one week before the event through our online appointment system. You can also access your appointment schedule via our mobile app (download instructions will be provided by event management).

  • What if I miss an appointment?

    Please notify event management at the earliest opportunity to arrange another time for the appointment.

  • How is my travel and accommodation booked?

    ·      Air transportation: All complimentary air transportation for GTM West hosted travel advisors must be booked by our corporate travel agency partner – Corporate Travel Management (CTM).

    ·      Hotel accommodations: Hotel accommodations will be booked by GTM West event management. If you have a specific request regarding travel or accommodations please contact the team immediately upon receiving your acceptance email. All accommodations are provided on a room/tax-only basis. You will be responsible for any additional expenses charged to your room. Additional expenses must be settled with the hotel prior to departure, and you will be asked for a personal credit card to guarantee incidentals upon check-in to the hotel.

  • How can I view my travel and accommodation details?

    Travel and accommodation information will be provided as soon as it is booked and confirmed.

  • What should I do if I need to change my travel and/or hotel arrangements?

    ·      Air Travel: All changes must be requested in writing to Jennifer Kruse jkruse@travelweekly.com. Changes are subject to availability and buyers are responsible for any additional costs incurred.

    ·      Hotel Accommodations: All requested changes must be sent in writing to Ximena Llanes via email xllanes@ntmllc.com. Changes are subject to availability and attendee is responsible for any additional costs incurred.

  • How do I get to GTM West from the airport?

    On arrival you will be greeted by our transportation provider. Additional details will be provided closer to the event.

  • What is the event attire?

    Business casual is the recommended attire during the appointment and Boardroom portion of the event. Resort casual is acceptable for all evening functions. Most importantly, while onsite you will do a lot of walking so, please make sure to pack comfortable shoes. Meeting rooms tend to be chilly. Please bring a sweater, jacket or wrap to use if needed.

  • What is the format of the one-on-one appointments?

    During the course of 2.5 days, travel advisor attendees will conduct up to 50 pre-scheduled one-on-one 6-minute appointments with suppliers and vendors. The travel advisors participating in GTM will effectively set up their office at their dedicated desk and the suppliers move around to meet with them. This gives our TA attendees the opportunity to take notes in between their appointments and to prepare for their next supplier meeting.
